What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Coordinator position at KAR & Larrabee Mechanical Contractors?
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Conduct regular jobsite inspections and safety audits across all active projects
- Identify and correct potential hazards before they become incidents
- Develop and deliver safety training and toolbox talks for field crews
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and all applicable regulations
- Investigate incidents and near-misses and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation
- Collaborate with project managers and superintendents to integrate safety into daily operations

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 2 years of safety experience in construction or mechanical contracting
- OSHA 30 certification required; CHST or CSP preferred
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards
- Excellent communication and training skills
- Ability to travel to multiple jobsites across Florida
- Valid driver's license required
