Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Capital Markets Business Analyst with strong domain expertise in Treasury, Credit Risk, Market Risk, and Counterparty Management, working closely with business, vendor, and technology teams in a COTS environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
Partner with Treasury, Market Risk, Counterparty Management, Credit Risk, and Compliance teams to gather and analyze requirements
Work on credit limits & utilization, counterparty ratings & methodologies, and hierarchies, portfolios & exposure aggregation
Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, process flows, and data mappings
Perform gap analysis between current and future state processes
Validate requirements against COTS platform capabilities and identify configuration vs customization
Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration
Collaborate with COTS vendor to clarify requirements, review solution designs, and validate configurations
Act as a bridge between business users, vendor teams, and internal IT teams (Dev, QA, Data, Integration)
Facilitate workshops, backlog grooming sessions, sprint reviews, and UAT sessions
Integration, Data & Downstream Systems
Define data interface requirements between treasury systems, credit platforms, and pre/post-trade compliance systems
Collaborate with data teams on data models, mappings, controls, and reconciliation rules
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of credit-related data flows
Agile Delivery & Testing
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
Write user stories with clear acceptance criteria
Support system testing, UAT, and defect triage
Ensure solutions align with regulatory, audit, and risk governance requirements
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field
7 years of Business Analyst experience in financial services (Capital Markets, Treasury, Credit Risk, Market Risk, Counterparty Risk)
Required Skills:
Strong understanding of trade lifecycle including OTC and exchange-traded instruments, counterparty exposure, and portfolio aggregation
Experience with credit limits, exposure management, utilization, and counterparty ratings
Experience working with COTS platforms and Agile environments
Strong data skills including data analysis, data mapping, and SQL
Ability to interpret data models, source-to-target mappings, and APIs/interfaces
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Treasury Management Systems (TMS)
Knowledge of pre-trade and post-trade compliance processes
Familiarity with counterparty hierarchy, legal entities, and netting structures
Understanding of credit exposure calculations and ratings usage across portfolios
Experience with market data providers, rating agencies, and internal credit models
