Role: Business Analyst - Capital Markets
Location: Washington, D.C. (3–4 days/week Onsite)
Duration: 6 months contract
Job description:
We are seeking an experienced Capital Markets Business Analyst to support initiatives across Credit Risk, Treasury, and Counterparty Management. This role will focus on gathering requirements, supporting a COTS platform implementation, and ensuring seamless integration across trading, risk, and compliance systems.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field
- 7 years of Business Analyst experience in financial services
- Strong domain experience in:
- Capital Markets
- Treasury / Credit Risk / Market Risk / Counterparty Risk
- Solid understanding of:
- Trade lifecycle (OTC & exchange-traded instruments)
- Credit exposure, limits, and utilization
- Counterparty ratings and portfolio structures
- Experience working with COTS/vendor platforms
- Hands-on experience with Agile delivery
- Strong experience in data analysis, data mapping, and system integrations
- Ability to interpret data models, APIs, and source-to-target mappings
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation and reconciliation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Treasury Management Systems (TMS) or Capital Markets platforms
- Knowledge of pre-trade and post-trade compliance
- Familiarity with counterparty hierarchies, legal entities, and netting structures
- Understanding of credit exposure calculations and ratings usage
- Exposure to market data providers, ratings agencies, or internal credit models
