Role: Business Analyst - Capital Markets

Location: Washington, D.C. (3–4 days/week Onsite)

Duration: 6 months contract

Job description:

We are seeking an experienced Capital Markets Business Analyst to support initiatives across Credit Risk, Treasury, and Counterparty Management. This role will focus on gathering requirements, supporting a COTS platform implementation, and ensuring seamless integration across trading, risk, and compliance systems.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field
• 7 years of Business Analyst experience in financial services
• Strong domain experience in:
• Capital Markets
• Treasury / Credit Risk / Market Risk / Counterparty Risk
• Solid understanding of:
• Trade lifecycle (OTC & exchange-traded instruments)
• Credit exposure, limits, and utilization
• Counterparty ratings and portfolio structures
• Experience working with COTS/vendor platforms
• Hands-on experience with Agile delivery
• Strong experience in data analysis, data mapping, and system integrations
• Ability to interpret data models, APIs, and source-to-target mappings
• Proficiency in SQL for data validation and reconciliation
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Treasury Management Systems (TMS) or Capital Markets platforms
• Knowledge of pre-trade and post-trade compliance
• Familiarity with counterparty hierarchies, legal entities, and netting structures
• Understanding of credit exposure calculations and ratings usage
• Exposure to market data providers, ratings agencies, or internal credit models
