Job Overview:
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for leading manufacturing engineering, maintenance, and tooling functions to support safe, efficient, and cost-effective production.
This role oversees process development, equipment performance, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring alignment with plant goals across safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
This is a full-time, on-site leadership role reporting directly to plant leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, and Tooling teams; establish clear expectations and accountability
- Own manufacturing processes, including design, optimization, and ongoing performance
- Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime
- Manage tooling and die operations, including design, fabrication, and continuous improvement
- Lead capital projects such as new product introductions, equipment installations, automation, and capacity expansions
- Ensure process capability and product quality through root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Drive lean manufacturing, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards, including machine guarding and LOTO procedures
- Manage budgets related to engineering, maintenance, tooling, and capital expenditures
- Track and report key performance metrics such as OEE, downtime, and project execution
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- 7–10 years of manufacturing engineering experience, including 3–5 years in a leadership role
- Experience in process design, project management, and team leadership within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, equipment, and process optimization
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and ERP systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
