General Laborer — Scrap Yard

What You'll Do
- Sort, load, and unload scrap metal by type and grade
- Operate a tire machine to remove tires from rims
- Drain fluids from vehicles (oil, gas, coolant, etc.) in accordance with environmental and safety guidelines
- Operate hand tools and basic equipment to break down and process material
- Assist with weighing, staging, and organizing incoming and outgoing loads
- Help load and unload trucks and containers
- Keep the yard clean, organized, and safe
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Perform general labor and yard maintenance as needed
- Assist drivers and other team members with daily operations
What We're Looking For
- Experience operating a tire machine required
- Experience draining fluids from vehicles preferred
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Basic mechanical aptitude a plus
- Forklift experience a plus, but not required (training available)
