Position Summary
The Application Manager supports the technology systems that power donor operations, including digital fundraising, direct mail, donor database management, and reporting. This role partners closely with Development, Donor Operations, and IT to ensure donor systems are reliable, well integrated, and easy for staff to use. The Applications Manager plays a key role in maintaining donor data quality, supporting reporting and dashboards, and improving day-to-day fundraising operations.
The ideal candidate brings experience working with donor or business applications and is eager to learn Salesforce reporting and dashboards, Omatic integration tools, and Salesforce data loads. This role also supports the evaluation of donor-related software and provides training to staff across the organization.

Responsibilities / Duties
- Manage and support applications used for donor operations, including donor databases, digital fundraising tools, and direct mail systems
- Serve as a system partner for Development and Donor Operations teams, translating fundraising and reporting needs into system solutions
- Support donor data imports, exports, and updates, including Salesforce data loads and Omatic-based integrations
- Monitor donor data quality to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems
- Support integrations and data exchanges between donor systems and external vendors
- Create and maintain donor, campaign, and operational reports
- Learn and use Salesforce reporting and dashboards to meet fundraising and leadership needs
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve access to actionable donor data
- Assist with ad hoc data requests and recurring fundraising reports
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of donor-related software and fundraising tools
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve system issues and support enhancements
- Assist with managing licenses, renewals, and vendor documentation
- Ensure donor applications follow organizational policies and basic security standards
- Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for donor systems and reporting tools
- Provide advanced support for donor-related application issues in coordination with the IT Help Desk
- Create and maintain user documentation, job aids, and procedures
- Support staff adoption of best practices for donor data management and system use
- Lead and mentor a team of IT specialists and support staff
- Manage team performance, provide feedback, and support professional development
- Foster a collaborative team environment
- Serve as a point of escalation for system-related issues
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent education and experience); master’s degree preferred
- 1 years of experience managing web-based or hosted software applications
- 1 years of supervisory experience
- Experience supporting business applications, donor databases, or fundraising systems in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization
- Strong interest in donor data, reporting, and operational efficiency
- Willingness to learn Salesforce reporting, dashboards, and donor data management
- Experience working with data files, imports, or system integrations
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Preferred
- Experience with Salesforce, nonprofit CRMs, or fundraising platforms
- Familiarity with Omatic or similar data integration tools
- Experience supporting digital fundraising or direct mail operations
- Experience providing user training or documentation
Salary : $97,000 - $107,000
