Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed health histories.
- Administer medications and injections accurately while adhering to aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
- Manage complex medical procedures such as IV infusion, catheterization, suturing, and ventilator management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks to document patient care efficiently.
- Provide specialized care in areas such as ICU, emergency medicine, trauma medicine, cardiology (including cardiac catheterization), nephrology (dialysis), and geriatrics.
- Support patients with chronic conditions including Alzheimer’s/dementia care, behavioral health needs, hospice & palliative medicine, and memory care.
- Educate patients and families on health coaching, discharge planning, medication administration, nutrition, and post-acute care strategies.
Qualifications
- Valid RN license in good standing with relevant state licensing boards.
- Proven experience in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I/II trauma centers is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities, and those requiring long-term or home & community care.
- Knowledge of advanced nursing procedures including tube feeding, sterile processing, infection control protocols, and laboratory specimen collection/processing.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as Hoyer lift transfers and Hoyer lift operation safely.
- Excellent communication skills for triage assessments and working effectively within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced settings such as urgent care or outpatient clinics.
