Scope of Responsibilities
The Multilingual Community Engagement and Program Improvement Specialist is a
supplemental position funded through the Title III Grant to enhance multilingual learner (ML) services by strengthening family engagement, supporting community partnerships, and assisting with the evaluation and continuous improvement of Title III-funded programs.
This role is designed to increase the meaningful participation of multilingual families in
educational programs, expand access to literacy and language development opportunities,
and support the district in monitoring the effectiveness and impact of supplemental
services provided to English learners.
Performance Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and support multilingual family engagement events aligned with Title III goals (e.g., family literacy nights, workshops, newcomer orientations).
- Develop and disseminate culturally and linguistically responsive communication to families.
- Increase family awareness of available language instruction programs and resources.
- Build relationships with multilingual families to strengthen trust and participation.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations supporting multilingual learners.
- Coordinate collaborative opportunities that extend learning beyond the school day.
- Serve as a liaison between the district and community partners.
- Collect, organize, and analyze data related to participation in Title III-funded activities.
- Support evaluation of family engagement initiatives and supplemental programs.
- Collaborate with district leadership to develop reports for compliance.
- Maintain documentation aligned with federal and state guidelines.
- Provide recommendations based on data and feedback.
- Support alignment with district goals and WIDA standards.
- Assist with coordination of supplemental instructional supports.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Community Development, Evaluation, or related field.
- Experience working with multilingual learners and diverse communities.
- Knowledge of Title III requirements preferred.
- Strong data and relationship-building skills.
- Bilingual/multilingual skills preferred.
Desirable Qualifications
- Master's degree in Education, Social Work, Community Development, Evaluation, or related field.
