Provides administrative support to the People & Culture team on all personnel matters. The People and Culture Assistant will support HR functions such as administrative duties maintaining associate personnel files, job postings, applicant screening, and onboarding, while driving a culture of growth, inclusion, and well-being. They will build and maintain strong, professional relationships with managers through fostering boundaries and communication. They will maintain strict confidentiality, ensuring discretion and professionalism at all times.

- Performs customer service functions by answering associate requests and questions.
- Coordinates benefits enrollment for new associates.
- I-9 documentation audits as directed by Director of P&C and maintain current.
- Initiate background checks for new hires.
- Conducts audits of various payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends any corrective action.
- Assists with processing of terminations, status changes, and pay rate changes.
- Assists with the preparation of the performance review forms.
- Assists HR team with various research projects and/or special projects.
- Assists with recruitment and interview process.
- Schedules meetings and interviews as requested.
- Assists with associate engagement event planning.
- Assists with scheduling and reserving rooms for trainings.
- Schedules conferences by reserving facilities at local hotels and/or restaurants.
- Makes photocopies and performs other clerical functions.
- Files papers and documents into appropriate associate files.
- Assists or prepares correspondence.
- Prepares new associate files.
- Processes mail.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
DESIRED COMPETENCIES, WORK SKILLS:
- Strong computer knowledge, Word, Microsoft Outlook and calendar management, excel, mail merge in Excel, Great Plains, NovaTime, iCIMS
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Service orientation. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- High School required, college degree preferred.
- Previous administrative experience preferred .
