Kahala Nui, considered Hawaii's premier Senior Living Community, is seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment that serves our private restaurants, The Kahala Terrace and The Kona Bistro.
This position is full time (5 shifts per week) and will be on the PM Shift (12:00pm - 8:30pm).
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet customer demand.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and communicate effectively to ensure smooth service.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation as needed.
- Adapt to menu changes and special requests with flexibility and professionalism.
- Previous experience as a line cook or similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
