Job Overview
We are seeking a part-time dedicated and compassionate Doggie Daycare/Kennel Worker to join our team. This role involves caring for animals, ensuring their safety and comfort, and providing excellent customer service to pet owners. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals, experience in animal handling, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with pets and contribute to their well-being while supporting our kennel operations.
Hours are Monday 8:00-12:00 and 1:00-4:00, Tuesday 8-12, Thursday 8-12 and Friday 8-12
Responsibilities
- Supervise and interact with dogs during daycare hours, ensuring their safety and engagement
- Feed, water, and administer medications as needed under supervision
- Clean kennels, play areas, and equipment to maintain a hygienic environment
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques
- Observe animals for signs of illness or distress and report concerns to management
- Heavy lifting of supplies, cages, or animals as part of daily duties
- Maintain detailed records of animal care activities and behaviors
Skills:
- Strong animal handling and restraint skills
- Knowledge of pet care and animal behavior management
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Animal care experience, including kennel operations.
