What are the responsibilities and job description for the Client Success Manager position at K2 Renew?
About K2 Renew
K2 Renew is a leading utility-scale energy infrastructure site origination and early-stage land development company operating across all major U.S. power markets where generation and load growth are driving demand for new energy infrastructure. With 12,000 MW signed with development partners and 90,000 acres under lease, we sit at the origination bottleneck of the energy transition — securing and de-risking land assets that power the next generation of solar, BESS, gas, and data center infrastructure.
The Role
K2 Renew is adding a Client Success Manager to own the health and growth of our partner accounts once they're handed off by the CEO, who will continue to lead new outreach personally. This role carries more ownership than an associate-level position — you'll be the primary point of contact for an active book of partner relationships — but it does not require the deep relationship network of a business-development hire. What we need most is drive, reliability, and the judgment to manage a portfolio of accounts independently.
What You'll Do
- Own day-to-day management of a portfolio of partner accounts transitioned from the CEO
- Build a disciplined cadence of check-ins, follow-ups, and status tracking in TerraVault
- Identify opportunities to deepen or expand existing partner relationships
- Prepare account health updates and flag risks or opportunities to the CEO
- Coordinate with internal teams (land, GIS, project scoring) to keep partner-facing commitments on track
- Help refine and document the account-management process as the team scales
Who You Are
- Self-directed and highly driven — comfortable owning outcomes for a portfolio of accounts
- Strong communicator who builds trust quickly, even without a prior industry network
- Organized and CRM-fluent; you keep clean records without being asked
- Prior account management, client success, or customer-facing experience preferred, but relevant drive and aptitude matter more than years
- Existing energy infrastructure relationships are a plus, not a requirement
- Comfortable in a lean, fast-moving environment with direct CEO visibility
Why K2
- Ground-floor opportunity at a company with significant market position and an expanding energy infrastructure strategy
- Direct line to the CEO and real visibility into how partner relationships are built and grown
- Work at the intersection of land, power, gas, and data center infrastructure — one of the most active deal-making environments in the market right now
- Room to grow into larger account or team responsibility as you prove out the role
