We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician with a strong emphasis on minisplit systems to join our construction company. The ideal candidate will be proficient in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and testing for freon leaks in minisplit HVAC systems. Key Responsibilities
- Install minisplit HVAC systems in residential and commercial projects, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and local codes.
- Perform routine maintenance on minisplit systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with minisplit systems, including electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant-related problems.
- Conduct freon leak testing using industry-standard tools and techniques, ensuring safe and environmentally responsible practices.
- Repair or replace defective components in minisplit systems to restore functionality.
- Collaborate with construction teams to integrate HVAC systems into project timelines and specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and installations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and California building codes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HVAC technician, with specific expertise in minisplit systems.
- Proficiency in freon leak testing, troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of min- isplit HVAC systems.
- Valid California drivers license and reliable transportation.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC tools, equipment, and diagnostic procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a construction environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients, contractors, and team members.
Preferred Certifications
- EPA Section 608 Certification (Type I, II, or Universal) for handling refrigerants.
- California HVAC Contractors License (C-20) or equivalent.
- NATE (North American Technician Excellence) certification in minisplit systems or re- lated areas.
- Manufacturer-specific training or certifications for minisplit systems (e.g., Mitsubishi, Daikin, Fujitsu).
Compensation & Benefits
