Position Summary
The Operations Manager at K&T Security Services is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the agency to ensure the consistent delivery of professional security services to clients. This includes personnel management, client relations, compliance, scheduling, and administrative oversight. The role requires a proactive leader with a strong operational background and the ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of the security industry.
Key Responsibilities
Staff Management
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate security personnel.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels across all client sites.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and manage disciplinary actions as needed.
Client Relations
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients regarding day-to-day operational issues.
- Ensure contract requirements are met and client expectations are exceeded.
- Conduct routine client check-ins, site visits, and respond promptly to client concerns.
Scheduling & Deployment
- Manage and oversee guard scheduling, shift coverage, and timekeeping using Track Tik Guarding System.
- Use TrackTik or equivalent systems for workforce scheduling and operational management.
- Coordinate emergency replacements for call-offs or no-shows.
Compliance & Training
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and licensing requirements.
- Maintain training records and ensure all personnel are properly certified.
- Coordinate ongoing training and development programs for staff.
Operational Oversight
- Conduct regular inspections of client sites to ensure quality control.
- Manage inventory of uniforms, radios, and operational equipment.
- Investigate incidents and compile detailed reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare and present operational and incident reports to senior leadership.
- Maintain accurate logs, shift schedules, and client communication records.
- Assist in budget planning and expense management for operations.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3–5 years in security management, law enforcement, or military service, with at least 4 years in an operational leadership role.
- Valid Armed and Unarmed Security Licenses (as required by Maryland, District of Columbia, and Virginia); CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in scheduling software and workforce management platforms such as TrackTik.
Work Environment
- Must be available on-call to address emergencies or urgent client matters.
