Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized DOT Compliance Coordinator to oversee and ensure adherence to Department of Transportation regulations within our logistics and transportation operations. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs aligned with DOT regulations and OSHA standards.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local transportation laws, including FDA regulations for relevant shipments.
- Manage regulatory reporting requirements related to freight, transportation safety, and fleet management.
- Conduct regular audits of transportation activities, documentation, and safety procedures to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize supply chain processes while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Oversee risk management strategies related to transportation safety and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare detailed reports on compliance status, incidents, and audit findings for senior management.
- Coordinate with fleet management teams to ensure vehicle safety standards are met and maintained.
- Stay updated on changes in transportation laws, FDA regulations, OSHA standards, and industry best practices.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance requirements and safety protocols.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, OSHA standards, FDA regulations, and freight compliance requirements.
- Experience in logistics, supply chain management, and transportation management systems.
- Excellent report writing skills with the ability to analyze data and prepare comprehensive documentation.
- Proficiency in regulatory reporting and risk management practices.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating across departments including fleet management and logistics teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with compliance management software and fleet management tools is preferred. This position is integral in ensuring our operations meet all legal requirements while promoting safety and efficiency throughout our supply chain processes.
