Personal Assistant / House Manager
Location: Upper East Side, New York, NY
Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 10:00 AM–6:00 PM, with flexibility for occasional evenings/weekends as needed
Compensation: $120,000–$125,000 per year, plus paid vacation and select holidays
A highly refined private residence on the Upper East Side is seeking an exceptionally polished, service-driven Personal Assistant / House Manager to support a single principal, an adult child, and the daily operations of the home.
This role requires a proactive, highly organized professional who can anticipate needs, manage changing priorities, and maintain impeccable household standards. The ideal candidate will bring a warm, discreet, and calm demeanor, strong attention to detail, and the ability to balance personal support, calendar management, household operations, wardrobe care, travel preparation, guest hospitality, and vendor coordination.

Responsibilities
Principal & Personal Support
- Provide thoughtful day-to-day support to the principal, adult child, and household.
- Manage daily logistics, appointments, reservations, errands, travel details, and household needs.
- Anticipate needs and proactively assist with shifting schedules and priorities.
- Prepare daily essentials, including wardrobe selections, garments, accessories, meals-to-go, and event readiness.
- Handle personal errands, shopping, returns, specialty requests, and reservations.
- Maintain the highest level of discretion and confidentiality at all times.
Calendar, Travel & Logistics
- Manage a busy and constantly evolving calendar with excellent judgment and attention to detail.
- Coordinate appointments, personal commitments, reservations, household schedules, and travel plans.
- Prepare detailed travel logistics, itineraries, packing plans, and pre/post-trip organization.
- Execute detailed packing and unpacking for monthly travel.
- Ensure garments, accessories, and personal items are prepared and available ahead of departures.
Wardrobe & Personal Presentation
- Oversee the care, organization, and upkeep of an extensive wardrobe and accessory collection.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of garments, shoes, handbags, jewelry, and seasonal inventory.
- Inspect clothing daily to ensure pieces are clean, pressed, repaired, and presentation-ready.
- Coordinate tailoring, dry cleaning, shoe repair, and specialty garment care.
- Steam, press, organize, and prepare clothing for daily wear, travel, and events.
- Assist with dressing preparation and ensure wardrobes remain meticulously maintained.
Household Operations & Home Management
- Oversee the day-to-day functionality, organization, and presentation of the residence.
- Conduct daily walkthroughs to ensure all spaces are immaculate, organized, and guest-ready.
- Oversee a part-time housekeeper who comes daily for several hours and ensure household standards are consistently maintained.
- Manage household inventories, pantry stocking, household supplies, heavy package coordination, and returns.
- Schedule and oversee household repairs, maintenance appointments, vendors, and service providers.
- Maintain organized storage systems and updated inventories throughout the home.
- Liaise with vendors, repair professionals, household staff, and outside service providers as needed.
Hospitality & Guest Service
- Create a welcoming and elevated experience for family members and frequent guests.
- Prepare guest rooms and coordinate personalized amenities prior to arrivals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for guest requests during stays.
- Assist with home entertaining, including formal dinners, gatherings, weekly business meetings, and larger annual events.
- Support hospitality needs within the residence with polish, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Household Provisioning
- Manage grocery shopping, household provisioning, and pantry organization for the family and guests.
- Track household needs and ensure supplies are consistently stocked.
- Coordinate meals-to-go and support household food-related logistics as needed.
Pet Care
- Manage care for a small dog, including walks or dog walker coordination, feeding, grooming appointments, and veterinary visits.
Ideal Candidate
- Prior experience in a luxury private home, high-end hospitality environment, or similar service-focused setting.
- Strong EA/PA-level calendar management, travel coordination, and personal support experience.
- Polished, warm, discreet, intuitive, and highly professional.
- Service-oriented with a naturally nurturing and attentive approach.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and meticulous with strong follow-through.
- Comfortable managing multiple moving parts while remaining calm under pressure.
- Flexible, adaptable, proactive, and solution-oriented.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English.
- Technologically proficient and comfortable managing calendars, texts, lists, travel details, and household systems.
- Honest, trustworthy, collaborative, and discreet.

- Familiarity with Manhattan lifestyle, vendors, logistics, and local expectations required.
