Full-time QC Inspector needed in Peabody, MA, salary range $80K-$85K, full benefits. Metal fabrication experience required. The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for performing detailed inspections of fabricated and machined metal components to ensure they meet customer requirements, engineering specifications, and industry quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final inspections on metal components.
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications to validate product conformance.
- Use a variety of precision measuring tools including CMMs, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and optical comparators.
- Document inspection results, maintain accurate quality records, and update required documentation.
- Identify nonconforming material and support root-cause and corrective action activities.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and management to ensure timely, high-quality output.
- Support ISO 9001 and AS9100 requirements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in developing and implementing quality assurance policies and procedures in coordination with Product Quality Engineers.
- Participate in and support internal and external audits related to processes, compliance, and documentation.
- Support and help maintain the calibration program for inspection tools and equipment.
Salary : $80,000 - $85,000
