Duties
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters
- Conduct welding repairs and fabrications as needed to support equipment or structural modifications
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot automation systems and ensure seamless manufacturing processes
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work orders, inspections, and parts inventory
- Assist with residential painting projects to maintain facility aesthetics when required
- Supervise or lead small maintenance teams during complex projects or emergency repairs, ensuring safety protocols are followed
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance and manufacturing environments
- Proficiency in electrical work, including reading schematics and using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters
- Hands-on welding skills for repairs and fabrication tasks
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and other departments
- Supervising experience with leadership qualities to guide maintenance staff efficiently
- Fluency in English for clear communication across teams
- Knowledge of residential painting techniques for facility upkeep when necessary
