Duties
- Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, maintenance coordination, and tenant relations
- Oversee property leasing processes, including marketing vacancies, conducting tours, and negotiating lease agreements
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, landlord-tenant laws, and Section 8 program requirements
- Utilize property management software such as Yardi or OneSite to maintain accurate records, data entry, and reporting
- Coordinate property maintenance and facilities management to ensure optimal condition of assets
- Handle legal administrative tasks related to contracts, notices, and dispute resolution while maintaining confidentiality
- Conduct regular inspections and oversee property upkeep using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools
Experience
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with a strong understanding of landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations
- Familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs and Section 8 housing policies is highly desirable
- Skilled in customer service, conflict management, negotiation, and upselling to maximize occupancy and revenue opportunities
- Proficiency in Yardi, OneSite or similar property management software; experience with data entry and filing is essential
- Office experience including phone etiquette, customer relationship management (CRM), contracts handling, and administrative support
- Knowledge of property maintenance procedures, facilities management practices, and legal administrative processes
- Strong organizational skills complemented by excellent communication abilities to foster positive tenant relationships
