Berkshire Meadows provides residential, special education, and day habilitation services for children, adolescents, and young adults who have developmental disabilities including significant cognitive, physical, and medical disabilities. Services are provided in an attractive campus setting in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, as well as several community-based homes.
Schedule: This is a full-time position, Tuesday to Friday 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM plus Saturday 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and on-call availability.
Compensation
The pay range for this position is $22.50 to $33.00 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.
What You'll Do:
- Managing and supervising staff, ensuring they adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Responding to and resolving unexpected situations or emergencies that might arise during shift.
- Completing necessary paperwork, reports and other administrative duties.
- Communicating and coordinating with other departments (e.g., Day Hab, Academic, Nursing, Maintenance) to ensure quality of care for clients and functioning of all supporting programs.
- Developing staff schedules, ensuring required coverage and program safety, interviewing and hiring program staff with administrative support.
- Supporting physical, social and communicative development of clients through carryover of recommended supports or interventions (aligned with speech, PT, nursing or other professionals) into the residential setting and increasing independence of clients across residential-based skills.
- Developing and implementing recreational activities on and off campus with support from assistant program managers and other staff as needed.

Requirements:
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Bachelor’s degree in a human services or at least 4 years of experience in the human services field.
- Supervisory experience; 2 years of experience with clients with intellectual disabilities.
- Must be MAP certified.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
- Must have a valid driver’s license (MA, NY or CT).
- Background and driving record checks will be performed.
