What are the responsibilities and job description for the Detailing Team Member position at Just The Details?
We're hiring a Detail Technician who will grow into the work. You'll start where your experience fits — full interior and exterior details — and techs with machine polishing experience can step into paint correction and coating installs. You'll work two ways: running jobs solo in a fully equipped company truck, or side-by-side with the owner on correction and coating days.
What You'll Do
- Full interior details: deep vacuum, steam cleaning and sanitization, leather conditioning or upholstery extraction, vents and crevices, interior glass
- Exterior details: foam pre-soak, two-bucket hand wash, wheels/tires/wheel wells, bug/tar/iron decontamination, clay treatment, tire and trim dressing
- Based on experience: one-step and two-step machine paint correction, panel prep, ceramic coating application
- Set up and tear down mobile equipment at customer homes and workplaces
- Final quality inspection on every job and walk the customer through the finished product
- Keep the truck, tools, pads, and products clean, stocked, and ready
What We're Looking For
- Professional detailing experience preferred (1 years ideal), but we'll train someone with strong work ethic and solid car-care fundamentals
- Polisher experience (dual-action or rotary) and/or ceramic coating experience is a major plus — it moves you to higher-level jobs and higher pay faster
- Valid driver's license with a clean record — you will drive company trucks
- Comfortable working outdoors, on your feet all day, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- A real eye for paint — if swirl marks don't bother you, this isn't your job
- Professional and friendly with customers, since you'll often be working alone at their home
Pay: $80.00 - $200.00 per day
Work Location: In person
Salary : $80 - $200
