What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Paint Correction Specialist position at Just The Details?
Paint Correction & Ceramic Coating Specialist (Mobile) — Lexington, KY
About Us
Just The Details started in Michigan back in 2020 and we've built our name on high-end work: ceramic coatings, paint correction, and the kind of finish people notice. We're Gtechniq certified and we're now growing our Lexington location. We're looking for someone who actually loves dialing in paint, not just washing cars.
The Role
You'll be doing 1- and 2-step paint corrections and ceramic coating installs at customers' homes, mostly in their garages. You'll work out of our company truck and run jobs start to finish on your own. This is a craftsmanship job. If you're the type who checks your panels under a swirl light three times before you call it done, you'll fit in here.
Schedule
Part-time to start, a few corrections and coatings per week. Hours are flexible, and there's real room to grow as Lexington picks up.
What You'll Be Doing
- 1-step and 2-step paint corrections (compounding and refining)
- Ceramic coating installs, with proper decon and prep every time
- Running jobs independently out of the company truck
- Checking your own work against our standard before handing it back
- Representing the company with customers on-site
What We're Looking For
- Real experience with machine polishing AND ceramic coatings (this isn't a training position)
- A sharp eye and pride in your work
- Comfortable working solo and managing your own time on a job
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Reliable, professional, and easy to talk to
What You Get
- All tools and products provided. If you've got a polisher, pads, and compounds you swear by, we'll buy those for you
- Company truck
- Flexible schedule
