About the Company
My client a market leader in the mission critical sector are looking for a heavy hitting Project Executive who is a true leader and can be an executive level leaderwith the company in the future.
This person must be someone who can command a room of hyperscale tech clients, speak fluently with MEP engineers about redundant power loops, and simultaneously mentor an internal team of PMs.
Responsibilities
- 12 years in construction management, moving progressively from PM to Senior PM to Project Executive.
- Data Center Domain: 5 years of dedicated, recent experience leading hyperscale (e.g., AWS, Microsoft, Meta, Google) or large colocation (e.g., Equinix, Digital Realty) builds.
- Financial Scale: Direct ownership of projects valued at $150M individually, or a concurrent portfolio exceeding $500M.
- Technical Vetting Points (What to look for on resumes)
- Look for mentions of complex MEP installations: UPS systems, massive switchgears, backup generators, and chilled water loops.
- The candidate should list experience with strict Commissioning Levels (specifically Level 1 through Level 5 integration testing).
- Experience managing long-lead equipment procurement (navigating supply chain bottlenecks for critical infrastructure).
- Executive Presence: Proven ability to manage demanding, fast-paced tech clients who operate on compressed schedules.
- Talent Developer: A track record of retaining and promoting assistant PMs and PMs under their wing (high team retention).
