ABOUT THE CLIENT
- We are currently partnered with a market leading cast in place concrete specialist in the South East.
- They have a very strong market presence across the Southeast, including industrial, hospitality, retail, institutional, and office spaces.
- They are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Concrete Estimator to join their team in the Atlanta Metro Area.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- You will will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for concrete construction projects,
- Key Responsibilities
- Cost Estimation & Bidding: Prepare and manage detailed and accurate cost estimates for all aspects of concrete projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Blueprint & Document Analysis: Review and interpret architectural blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications to determine project scope and requirements.
- Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination: Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate bids from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and project profitability.
- Project Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to clarify project scope, identify potential cost savings (value engineering), and develop comprehensive proposals.
- Bid Management: Prepare and present bid proposals and presentations to clients and stakeholders. Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits as required.
- Market Research: Stay current on industry trends, material pricing, labor costs, and new construction technologies to ensure estimates are accurate and competitive.
- Data Management: Maintain organized records of estimated and actual project costs, and document all changes in project scope.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and analyze potential risks and opportunities related to project bids.
ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
- The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of concrete construction methods and materials, with the ability to analyze blueprints and project specifications to ensure profitable and timely bids.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of concrete construction methods, materials, and local building codes.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
Salary : $80,000 - $130,000
