Assistant Superintendent
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to join a growing General Contractor with a strong portfolio of educational, commercial, and institutional construction projects. This individual will support the Superintendent in leading field operations and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate is a motivated field professional with experience supporting ground-up and renovation projects and a desire to grow into a lead Superintendent role.
Responsibilitie
- sAssist the Superintendent in managing all on-site construction activities from preconstruction through project completion
- .Support daily field operations, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, safety, and quality control efforts
- .Monitor project progress and help maintain schedules to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved
- .Coordinate with Project Managers, architects, engineers, school district representatives, and trade partners to help resolve field issues
- .Participate in site meetings, inspections, and progress reporting
- .Help enforce company safety standards and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant jobsite
- .Review construction documents and assist in identifying potential conflicts, constructability concerns, and schedule impacts
- .Perform quality control inspections and ensure work is completed in accordance with project plans and specifications
- .Assist with punch list management, closeout activities, and turnover procedures
- .Maintain daily reports, project documentation, and field records
- .Foster positive working relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders
- .Support project activities in occupied or active campus environments while maintaining safety and minimizing disruptions.

Qualificatio
- ns3 years of experience in a Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Foreman, or related field leadership role with a General Contracto
- r.Experience supporting commercial, educational, institutional, or public-sector construction project
- s.K-12 construction experience is strongly preferre
- d.Experience with ground-up construction projects preferre
- d.Structural concrete and masonry construction experience is a plu
- s.Strong understanding of construction means and methods, safety requirements, and field coordinatio
- n.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specification
- s.Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skill
- s.Proficiency with construction management software and scheduling tools preferre
- d.OSHA certification or willingness to obtain certification preferre
- d.Eagerness to learn, take ownership of responsibilities, and grow into increased field leadership role
Salary : $80,000 - $110,000
