Overview
A well-established Philadelphia-based glazing contractor is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of low-rise exterior envelope and interior glazing projects. This role will focus on storefront systems, aluminium entrances, interior glass partitions, and light façade packages across commercial and mixed-use developments.
This is a strong development role for someone looking to grow into full Project Manager responsibility within a hands-on, field-driven subcontractor environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers in delivering storefront, curtain wall (low-rise), and interior glazing packages from award through closeout
- Assist with coordination of shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and material approvals
- Track project schedules, procurement status, and long-lead materials (glass, aluminium, hardware)
- Coordinate closely with field teams to ensure installation sequencing and site readiness
- Attend site meetings and assist with documenting progress, actions, and coordination items
- Support change order pricing, scope tracking, and cost reporting
- Liaise with general contractors, site superintendents, and design teams to resolve issues quickly
- Assist with logistics planning including deliveries, staging, and access coordination
- Ensure project documentation is maintained for QA/QC and closeout packages
Requirements
- 1–4 years’ experience in construction (glazing, façades, interiors, or subcontractor environment preferred)
- Exposure to commercial construction projects (low-rise preferred)
- Understanding of shop drawings, submittals, and construction sequencing
- Strong communication and coordination skills across office and field teams
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced subcontractor environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
- Construction management or engineering background preferred but not essential

- Light façade / curtain wall exposure (low-rise commercial)
- Experience working with GCs in the Philadelphia / Tri-State market
- Field exposure or prior coordination with installers
Salary : $60,000 - $100,000
