Line Cook - Jumpin' Jay's Fish Cafe

Jumpin' Jay's Fish Cafe is looking for an experienced, motivated Line Cook to join our culinary team!

Located in the heart of downtown Portsmouth, Jumpin' Jay's is a local favorite known for fresh seafood, creative dishes, and a lively dining atmosphere. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.

What We're Looking For

• Previous line cook experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant
• Experience with seafood preparation and oyster shucking preferred
• Ability to prepare and execute high-quality dishes with accuracy, efficiency, and consistency
• Strong knife skills and solid culinary fundamentals
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to follow recipes, maintain portion control, and minimize food waste
• Willingness to support the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and fellow kitchen staff
• Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation
• Knowledge of and commitment to food safety and sanitation standards
• Reliability, professionalism, and a team-first mentality
