Position Summary:
We are currently recruiting a dynamic full-time Produce Category Manager. Candidates must have a true passion for produce items along with 3 years of experience as a category manager. The primary purpose of the Produce Category Manager is to educate our chefs, customers, & sales team about the produce selection we have here at Julius Silvert.
Responsibilities:
- Educate customers with the sales team about the produce items available
- Maintain an awareness of all product information, merchandise promotions, and sample
- Maintain the highest level of standards in product preparation
- Initiate suggestive selling and sampling of products
- Help to ensure superior product presentation within the warehouse
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products
- Communicate any customer special requests to management
- Communicates with coworkers and management to solve problems and improve quality and service
- Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications
- 3 years of experience buying and managing all facets of the produce category
- Ability to communicate with customers, ownership, and employees
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required
- Ability to incrementally impact sales in a positive manner
- Proficiency in Customer Service
- Ability to multi-task and perform within a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work varied hours/days as dictated by business
- Ability to grow the category and maximize sales and gross profit
- Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
