Position Summary:

The Warehouse Loader/Utility performs all operational activities at the Capital Heights, MD warehouse, including but not limited to loading & unloading all trucks & routes as part of the cross-dock operation. Additionally, this role will support the on-road operations as necessary including covering a driver route as backup, assisting as a helper, supporting recovery operations and all other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Open the facility prior to Linehaul arrival, and prep for cross-dock operations.
• Execute the unloading and loading of all linehauls and outbound delivery trucks.
• Stage, inspect and care for all products throughout the entire loading/unloading operation.
• Ensure the accurate loading of all pallets.
• Ensure the setup and use of bulkheads in all trucks
• Distribute and ensure hand trucks & pallet jacks are available as assigned.
• Maintain hand trucks & pallet jacks daily with light maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
• Review and distribute all route paperwork.
• Load scanners and coordinate paperwork.
• Photograph loading errors, damages, or other concerns both inbound and outbound. Report accordingly.
• Cover/backup delivery route driver
• Support delivery route as a helper
• Support delivery recovery operation

• Pallet jack certification 
• Previous experience loading trucks and working in a warehouse
• Organization and attention to detail
