What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night Warehouse Manager position at FarmArt Produce?
Primary Objective: The primary responsibilities of a Warehouse Manager include setting organizational goals, coordinating departments, optimizing route processes, and ensuring profitability.
Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 7:00 pm - to close of shift
Responsibilities:
- Start organizing routes and be ready for the pickers., using Route4me software
- Coordinate with the warehouse supervisor, transportation department, Loaders to move the correct trucks for loading purposes.
- Work with management with new projects. Responsible for the efficient and effective routing of our routes
- Strategically manage night warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
- Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the night warehouse operation
- Supervise and direct assigned staff; perform all necessary supervisory functions to manage personnel effectively and efficiently by recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees
- Operate software systems to check item inventory status, to receive purchase orders, verify stock quantities or items on order by customer, follow customer notes, or items coming in by vendor, etc
- Communicate areas of responsibility and performance expectations, ensuring compliance with set goals and objectives, communicate productivity results to employees and assist with individuals’ achievement of goals
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
- Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Liaise with HR, CS, Warehouse, Procurement, Sales and Transportation
- Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures for new loading procedures
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
- Point of contact for troubleshooting in case of emergencies
- Make sure employees fill/up their weekly equipment checklist.
- Determine any equipment needs/repairs, communicate any issues with Director of Operations
- Works with the company Safety committee reviews meeting notes, investigates employee accidents and assigns appropriate light duty per worker’s compensation doctors’ orders when necessary
- Communicate safety issues to the employees as well as the committee and works to resolve them
- Perform periodic safety observations of employees and share observations with Human Resources and Director of Operations
- Responsible for reporting all work related accidents in a timely manner, participating in the root cause analysis process
- Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization in our warehouse
- Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
- Participate in manager’s meetings

Pay: $70,000.00 - $74,000.00 per year
