In this contingent assignment, you will provide technical expertise on advanced engineering challenges, partner with cross-functional teams, and contribute to strategic security design efforts across the enterprise.
What You'll Do
- Lead and consult on complex, large-scale Information Security Engineering initiatives with broad organizational impact.
- Analyze and solve multi-faceted security engineering challenges, including scenarios involving intangible or unprecedented factors.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of solutions requiring deep knowledge of security engineering functions, policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
- Provide subject-matter expertise and collaborate with internal teams to ensure security requirements are met across projects and environments.
- Act as a strategic partner to engineering and business stakeholders.
This position is focused on enterprise firewall engineering, not firewall policy management.
Required Technical Expertise
- Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto and/or Fortinet firewalls (must have).
- Solid understanding of network protocols, routing concepts, and security architecture.
- Scripting or automation experience (Python, Bash, etc.) is a strong plus.
- Experience operating in large-scale enterprise environments.
- 5 years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent background demonstrated through a combination of:
- Prior work or consulting experience
- Military experience
- Technical training
- Education
This role is available in the following office locations:
- Irving, TX
- Charlotte, NC
- Chandler, AZ
- Strong experience with Palo Alto or Fortinet is required.
- Prior experience working within a large enterprise is required.
