Senior Engineering Project Manager (Construction) – Salisbury, MD or Chesapeake, VA
Reports to the Engineering Manager, who reports to the Head of Engineering
35% travel (facilities are within driving distance) - company vehicle provided for visits.
Our client is seeking a Senior Engineering Project Manager – Construction Engineering to lead major capital construction projects, facility expansions, and infrastructure upgrades across grain, oilseed, feed, and agribusiness operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead full lifecycle construction engineering projects including design review, permitting, scheduling, budgeting, and commissioning.
- Oversee capital construction for new facilities, structural upgrades, equipment installations, and site improvements.
- Partner with operations, maintenance, EHS, and quality to ensure safe, compliant project execution.
- Provide technical oversight for contractors, engineering firms, and construction partners.
- Ensure adherence to building codes, environmental regulations, and Perdue engineering standards.
- Support long‑term capital planning and project financials.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Industrial, or Construction Engineering.
- 8 years of construction engineering project management experience with at least 3 years in the in agribusiness, food manufacturing, grain, feed, or industrial facilities.
- Proven success with capital construction, facility expansions, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Strong knowledge of permitting, building codes, environmental compliance, and industrial safety.
- Experience managing contractors and multi‑disciplinary construction teams.
Salary : $155,000 - $170,000
