Judge Direct Placement is seeking a Director of Quality for a food manufacturing company! They will be responsible for overseeing the company’s quality assurance & food safety programs. The Director will manage a team of quality control professionals, collaborate across departments, and work closely with external stakeholders to ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and best practices. The Director will also play a key role in fostering and enhancing a strong food safety culture within the organization.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation, and ci of quality management systems
- Oversee product quality testing, evaluations, and audits to maintain compliance and regulatory compliance
- Monitor and measure product quality, conducting root cause analysis on quality issues, implementing corrective actions as needed
- Drive the development and execution of quality policies & procedures within industry standards
- Ensure the organizations adherence to food safety regulations & maintain necessary certifications
- Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of food safety programs
- Oversee the maintenance of food safety programs including training, audits, and food safety processes
- Coordinate inspections, certifications, and compliance updates
- Manage and mentor the quality assurance and food safety teams
- Develop team KPI’s and ensure alignment with organization goals
- Partner with operations, supply chain, and production teams to ensure quality controls measures
- Work closely with other departments including Marketing and R&D
- Ensure alignment between quality and food safety initiative and overall company objectives
- Respond to and manage food safety incidents
- Conduct internal audits & reviews
- Oversee the preparation of required regulator reports
- Maintain accurate records of audits, inspections, and training programs
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Food Science or related field
- Lead Auditor Certified (e.g., ISO 9001 or ISO 22000)
- Food Defense Certified
- Master’s Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (Proven expertise in process improvement and waste reduction)
Certifications:
- HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points)
- SQF (Safe Quality Food) Certified
- Experienced in using SAP and other ERP systems to track, manage, and report quality and safety data
- Familiarity with industry tools and technologies used for food safety, traceability, and reporting
Salary : $140,000 - $155,000
