The Judge Group is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer for a manufacturing company located in the Starkville, MS area.
Title: Continuous Improvement Engineer
Location: Starkville, MS
Salary: $100,000 - $120,000
Responsibilities
- Lead process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and production performance.
- Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, SHEQ, and R&D teams to support plant objectives and strategic initiatives.
- Manage improvement and capital projects from concept through startup and implementation.
- Conduct process evaluations, engineering studies, and pilot trials to identify operational enhancements.
- Utilize process modeling and data analytics tools to evaluate system performance and support decision-making.
- Develop project plans, scopes of work, operating procedures, and change management documentation.
- Coordinate activities with contractors, vendors, and engineering partners on project execution.
- Support process safety efforts, commissioning activities, control system improvements, and process troubleshooting.
- Present project recommendations and progress updates to stakeholders and leadership teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Chemical Engineering strongly preferred.
- Experience within chemical processing, chlor-alkali, TiO₂ pigment production, or similar manufacturing environments preferred.
- Proven background leading process improvement or capital projects from planning through completion.
- Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), and Management of Change (MOC) programs.
- Familiarity with process simulation, industrial control systems, and statistical analysis tools.
- Strong communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement principles.
