About the Role
Keep the hotel in top condition through preventive maintenance, repairs, and quick response so guests enjoy a safe, comfortable stay.
Responsibilities
• Perform preventive maintenance on rooms, public areas, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and equipment.
• Respond promptly to work orders and guest-reported issues.
• Repair fixtures, furniture, and systems; paint and touch-up as needed.
• Maintain grounds, pool (if applicable), and exterior appearance.
• Ensure safety, fire, and life-safety systems compliance.
• Keep accurate logs, inventory of parts and tools, and coordinate vendors when required.
• Support Holiday Inn Express & Suites standards for property condition and energy efficiency.
• Assist other departments during peaks or emergencies.
• Work flexible hours including on-call, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required
• Proven hands-on maintenance experience (hotel preferred).
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various conditions.
• Valid driver’s license; reliable; safety-focused.
• Basic computer skills for work-order systems.
Preferred
• Hotel or brand maintenance experience; relevant certifications (EPA, etc.); bilingual.
