HVAC Lab test Technician

Johnson Service Group is seeking an HVAC Lab Technician to support the testing, evaluation, and development of HVAC systems in a laboratory environment. This role involves hands-on work with equipment, performance testing, and collaboration with engineers to validate product performance and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, modify, and test HVAC units and components
• Fabricate and assemble test apparatus for product development
• Perform performance testing in accordance with ASHRAE and UL standards
• Troubleshoot equipment and instrumentation issues
• Calibrate and maintain test equipment
• Accurately document and report test data using MS Office tools
• Support engineers with test procedures and results
  
  

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3 years of HVAC experience
• EPA 608 Certification
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field
• Experience with electrical wiring (3-phase a plus)
• Knowledge of refrigeration cycles and HVAC components
• Brazing experience
• Familiarity with pressurized gases
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong communication, safety awareness, and multitasking skills
