HVAC Lab Technician - Heat Transfer

Johnson Service Group is seeking an HVAC Lab Technician to support the testing, evaluation, and development of HVAC systems in a laboratory environment. This role focuses on performance testing, product validation, and ensuring accurate, timely data collection.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain HVAC test facilities and equipment
• Install, instrument, and troubleshoot test samples and systems
• Execute test plans and ensure data accuracy and delivery timelines
• Support prototype fabrication, lab modifications, and continuous improvements
• Perform preventative maintenance on lab equipment
  
  

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of relevant experience, or Associate degree with 1 year
• EPA 608 Certification
• Hands-on experience with HVAC systems and lab or mechanical environments
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with MS Office and data acquisition systems
• Experience with hand/power tools, brazing, refrigerant handling, and basic electrical work
• Ability to read schematics and follow test procedures
