Purchasing Oversight and Compliance
- Review and validate Buyer and Senior Buyer purchase orders for compliance with approval limits, accuracy, and policy adherence.
- Provide feedback and corrective guidance to ensure consistent application of Purchasing procedures and standards.
- Act as a point of escalation for supplier disputes, delivery failures, or pricing discrepancies.
- Manage a smaller but strategic portfolio of commodities to maintain active engagement in Purchasing operations.
- Lead complex supplier negotiations, contract renewals, and pricing agreements to drive cost savings and value creation.
- Support long-term supplier relationship strategies, performance evaluations, and corrective actions.
- Coach and train Buyers and Senior Buyers on negotiation practices, compliance expectations, and system navigation.
- Provide subject matter expertise to improve team effectiveness and cross-departmental collaboration.
- Contribute to development of departmental SOPs and best practices.
- Prepare, analyze, and present reports using SAP, Power BI, and Excel to support Purchasing strategies and cost analysis.
- Develop metrics and dashboards to track supplier performance, pricing trends, and compliance adherence.
- Identify opportunities for cost competitiveness and process improvement through data-driven insights.
- Partner with Planning, Quality, Operations, and Sales teams to resolve escalations and ensure alignment with business priorities.
- Represent Purchasing as a subject matter expert in cross-functional initiatives and supplier reviews.
- Drive transparency and accountability by supporting communication of Purchasing results to leadership.
- Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
- Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers.
- Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
- Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.

Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma Required. Knowledge:
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Purchasing, with at least 3 years in an analytical or strategic capacity.
- Experience in aerospace, industrial distribution, or a regulated industry strongly preferred.
