Assemblers

JSG is hiring an Assembler / Soldering in Peabody, MA.

1st shift: 7am-3:30pm

2nd shift: 3pm-11:30pm

Pay rate: $18-$19.50 DOE

Skills

• 5 years manual and machine assembly experience in connector cable industry
• Experience in reading blueprints and drawings is essential
• Strong math skills, particularly in fractions
• Soldering experience
• Connector and coaxial cable assembly experience a plus
• Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
• Fasten parts together manually or using hand tools, portable power tools, and related equipment
• Identify completed components by preparing and affixing labels according to specifications
• Assist in preparing shipments by placing components in bags and sealing them
• Ensure quality by examining connections for proper fit and measuring completed components
• Resolve assembly issues by adjusting dimensions to meet specifications and notifying the supervisor to obtain additional resources
• Support quality, cost reduction, and productivity improvements by accurately tracking job time through barcoding or other systems
