Boys Volleyball Assistant Coach
Reports To: Boys Volleyball Head Coach/Director of Athletics Job Status: Seasonal, part-time, exempt
Salary Information: Stipend starting at $5,000; final amount will be commensurate with experience.

Description: JSerra Catholic High School Athletics Department is seeking a dedicated Assistant Coach to support the Boys Volleyball
program. The Assistant Coach will help provide the necessary practice, guidance, and support for student-athletes, while fostering
an environment of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship consistent with the mission of JSerra.
Responsibilities
- Support the head coach in developing a culture and program structure that promotes healthy competition, spiritual and
- Assist in creating and executing seasonal practice and training plans, including pre-season activities.
- Help with supervision and mentoring of athletes.
- Assist in game-day management, including equipment preparation, set-up, and breakdown.
- Take attendance and help communicate with players and parents about team activities.
- Support program logistics such as transportation coordination and equipment needs.
- Attend and participate in all practices, competitions, and program events as directed by the head coach.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with a coaching team
- Demonstrates initiative, discipline, and enthusiasm for volleyball and mentoring student-athletes
Education & Experience
- Extensive knowledge and passion for the sport of volleyball, including CIF and NFHS rules and regulations
- Previous coaching and/or competitive playing experience
- Current certifications in CPR, Cardiac Emergencies, Heat Illness Prevention, Concussion training, and NFHS (must be
