NOTICE OF VACANCY
POSITION: Jr/Sr High School Spanish Teacher
REPORTS TO: Jr/Sr High School Principal
STARTING DATE: Fall 2026
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Michigan Teachers’ Certificate with Spanish Certification (FF).
- Graduate of a recognized college or university.
- Highly qualified, as defined by the Michigan Department of Education.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:
- Teach secondary Spanish classes aligned with the curriculum adopted by the Board of Education, incorporating appropriate and engaging instructional practices.
- Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials, including differentiated and small group instruction, to meet the individual needs of students.
- Utilize Standards-Based Grading practices, maintain accurate records, and provide timely, meaningful feedback on student progress.
- Apply best practices to promote student engagement, literacy development, and improved academic outcomes.
- Demonstrate familiarity with 504/IEP plans and accommodation strategies for all learners.
- Implement highly engaging instructional strategies and demonstrate knowledge of the MiTSS framework.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, maintaining a positive/professional attitude.
- Exhibit a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and experience in working with junior/senior high students.
- Support students at all academic levels while contributing positively to the school community.
SALARY: As Per Contract
