EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Possess Valid Kansas Teaching or Administrative License
- Advanced degree, experience and/or specialized training in curriculum content and instructional pedagogy relative to assignment preferred.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to work with fellow educators to develop, implement and evaluate instructional materials and assessments to improve teaching and learning for all students.
- Experience with a variety of data bases and computer software applications such as using advanced word processing or desktop publishing programs, producing query reports, using spreadsheets, etc.
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
- Problem solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to attend to details.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent computer skills, strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Communicate in a professional manner with staff, students and the public.
- Demonstrate the ability to work successfully in multiple buildings, on flexible schedules, with various administrative and instructional staff.
Essential Functions/General Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the improvement initiatives of the district and individual school buildings.
- Work effectively with district and building administration, as well as instructional staff to improve instruction and student achievement.
- Assist administrative and instructional staff with the analysis of student achievement information, and with the development of plans to address identified areas of weakness.
- Confer with district and building administrative personnel regarding progress and concerns related to student achievement.
- Advise administrative and instructional staff regarding the use of instructional resources, materials and methodologies.
- Assist administrative and instructional staff in the observation of student academic performance and the recommendation of appropriate interventions to support improved teaching and learning.
- Assist in the development and coordination of parent involvement activities as required by the Local Consolidated Plan when applicable.
- Continue personal professional growth, and share related information, materials and strategies with instructional and administrative staff.
- Assist in the assessment and analysis of student achievement for program improvement.
- Provide on-going professional growth opportunities for district staff.
- Coordinate At Risk supports district wide including Student Intervention and 504 Plans.
- Support and oversee student interventions and or provide interventions as needed.
- Support attendance expectations district wide.
- Coordinate the Assessment Calendar, attend assessment meetings, and train staff on assessment ethics.
- Support staff and administration on data trends and assessment results to drive instruction.
- Support Curriculum adoptions, HQIM expectations and assist with professional development scheduling and presentations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
