JourneyCare Hospice is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for our Inpatient Unit in Barrington, IL. This is a night shift role with a consistent, predictable schedule and competitive hourly pay.
Pay and Schedule
- SCHEDULE: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM - Includes every other weekend and 3 holidays per year
- LOCATION: Barrington, IL.
- Base pay: Up to $26/hour - based on experience
- Night shift differentials:
- $1.25/hour for weekday nights
- $2.50/hour for weekend nights

- Provide personal care to hospice patients in the inpatient unit
- Assist with bathing, grooming, oral care, and linen changes
- Ensure patient comfort and safety, including proper use of equipment
- Observe and report patient condition and any changes to the RN
- Document care provided in accordance with policies and standards
- Support patients, families, and visitors with professionalism and compassion
- Current CNA certification in the state of Illinois
- Active listing on the state nurse aide registry with a clear record
- Current CPR certification
- At least 18 years of age (or as required by state law)
- Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle or reliable transportation preferred
