Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Professional (QP) to provide clinical and rehabilitative services to individuals with mental health and/or substance use needs. The QP will play a key role in assessment, service planning, skill-building, and coordination of care in alignment with North Carolina service definitions and Medicaid guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct services including skill-building, psychoeducation, and supportive counseling
- Complete comprehensive assessments and contribute to person-centered treatment plans
- Monitor client progress and update service plans as needed
- Deliver community-based services (home, school, or office settings as applicable)
- Coordinate care with therapists, psychiatrists, case managers, and other providers
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with NC Medicaid and agency standards
- Support crisis intervention and stabilization when necessary
- Ensure services are delivered in a trauma-informed and culturally responsive manner
- Supevise Associate, Paraprofessional, and Peer Support Specialist
Qualifications
Candidates must meet North Carolina Qualified Professional (QP) criteria, including one of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services field (e.g., psychology, social work, counseling, sociology, or related field) 2 years of experience with the population served
- OR
✔ Must meet North Carolina Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Use Services (DMH/DD/SUS) QP standards
✔ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for community-based roles)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with children/adolescents, families, or adults with severe mental illness or substance use disorders
- Knowledge of NC Medicaid service definitions (e.g., IIH, SAIOP, Community Support Team)
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus

- Community-based, outpatient, or hybrid depending on program
- Flexible scheduling; some evening availability may be required

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
