Leading pharmaceutical company looking for an experienced Research Associate to join their protein mass spectrometry laboratory lab in their Pharmacokinetics Dynamics and Metabolism department. The lab based role will focus on small scale preparation of biological samples such as cells, tissues or plasma for subsequent mass spectrometry measurement. Must bring a BS or MS Degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry, 1-3 years of industry experience, and experience with LC-MS.
Responsibilities
• Preparation of samples for mass spectrometry analysis
• Design of experiments in collaboration with colleagues
• Conduct analytical experiments and method development as needed
• Identify and exploit new scientific concepts
• Interpretation and documentation of experimental results
• Communication of experimental results to team members
• Maintaining high quality record in electronic lab notebook
Requirements
• BS/MS degree in chemistry, biological sciences, biochemistry or related fields (NON-PhD)
• BS 3 years exp
• MS 1 year exp
• LC-MS biological sample preparation involving a multi-step process to isolate, purify, and concentrate the analytes of interest for the LCMS analysis
• Operation of laboratory equipment
• Works well both independently and as part of a team. Collaborative skills and effective partnering skills in a matrix-environment
• Strong data organization, analysis, and communication skills
