The Bike Fit Engineer is a critical team member to ensure participants receive the best and most appropriate bike fitting service, improving their cycling performance and enjoyment. Utilizing innovative bike fitting technology, the Bike Fit Engineer analyzes data and adjusts athletes’ bikes accordingly.
In addition to technical expertise, this role is uniquely positioned to operate as a business within the business by owning the growth, reputation, and community presence of bike fitting in the market. By being deeply engaged in the local and regional cycling ecosystem, the Bike Fit Engineer brings real world rider insights back into the lab, strengthening Human Powered Health’s connection to the cycling community and driving sustainable business expansion.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service and build rapport with athletes.
- Work with innovative bike fitting technology to appropriately fit athletes and use the provided metrics to adjust athlete’s bike.
- Help build and grow the overall bike fitting business within the lab.
- Provide meaningful recommendations for athletes who would benefit from upgraded bike components.
- Maintain a relationship with and provide support to the Human Powered Health professional cycling team.
- Conduct physiological assessments related to bike fitting services (i.e., force plates, movement screen, grip strength, saddle pressure mapping, virtual wind tunnel)
- Act as an ambassador within the cycling community, representing Human Powered Health at group rides, races, and industry events.
- Identify emerging trends, rider needs, and community insights to shape the direction and growth of the bike fit program.
- Cultivate long term relationships with local teams, clubs, and shops to expand the program’s reach and influence.
