POSITION SUMMARY
The Recruiting Specialist supports the full recruiting lifecycle, from posting open positions through pre-employment onboarding. This role ensures candidates move smoothly and compliantly from application to hire, and serves as a key partner to the Recruiter and HR team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Post job openings and manage the posting process, ensuring accuracy and consistency across platforms
- Pre-screen applicants to verify qualifications, licensure, and other required credentials
- Coordinate post-offer requirements (drug screens, physical exams, background checks)
- Schedule and coordinate orientation, travel, and other pre-employment logistics, ensuring a seamless handoff from offer acceptance to hire
- Maintain accurate, compliant applicant and new hire records
- Serve as backup to the Recruiter, assisting with recruiting functions as needed
- Support other recruiting and administrative functions as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an administrative, HR support, or related role
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer/database systems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Prior experience in recruiting or transportation industry preferred
