Position Summary
The Home Health Account Executive is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with referral sources, including physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and other healthcare providers. This role focuses on promoting home health services, increasing patient referrals, and supporting the growth of the organization’s market presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with referral sources to generate patient referrals.
- Educate healthcare professionals and community members about home health services and benefits.
- Conduct sales calls, presentations, and in-services to promote services.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless patient admissions.
- Track and report referral activity, market trends, and competitor information.
- Participate in community events and networking opportunities to enhance visibility.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly referral and admission goals.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, healthcare administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare sales, preferably in home health or hospice.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance guidelines is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Working Conditions
This position requires frequent travel within the assigned territory to meet with referral sources and attend events. It may involve occasional evening or weekend work depending on business needs.
