ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Tests, calibrates, and repairs electrical, electromechanical systems for conformance to established standards. Assists in formulating calibration standards.
- Plans sequence of testing and calibration for instruments and systems, according to blueprints, schematics, technical manuals and other specifications. Aligns, repairs, replaces component parts and circuitry.
- Devises formulas to solve problems in measurements and calibrations. Assists engineers in formulating test, calibration, repair, and evaluation plans and procedures to maintain precision accuracy of measuring, recording, and indicating equipment and systems. Analyzes test data and reports results to appropriate personnel.
- May prepare and write technical reports to recommend solutions to technical problems. Analyzes manufacturing requirements, prepares production schedule, and distributes work assignments according to order priorities and worker availability.
- Reviews work orders, product specifications, and technical instructions to determine facility requirements, and requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies to meet production goals.
- Demonstrates work methods, such as calibration setup, inspection sequence and test equipment operation. Examines product for defects, utilizing knowledge of manufacturing and quality standards, to ensure conformance to product specification. Assist in the training and development of assigned staff, assist in the performance evaluation and suggest appropriate recognition. Will observe and adhere to all safety rules and practices.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly, hazard-free condition, reporting all defective equipment or hazardous conditions. Perform other related duties as required by management.
Q
ualifications:
Incumbent must have sound knowledge of analog, digital and microprocessor theory. Understanding of electrical and electronic testing and test equipment. Proficient in the use of schematics, blueprints and diagrams. Basic knowledge of refrigeration theory and pneumatics.
Ability to use a variety of test equipment, calibration equipment and hand tools such as: digital multimeters, AC clamp meters, capacitance meter, digital storage oscilloscopes, flowmeters, function generator, power supplies, digital thermometers, bus analyzers, pal - gal - eprom and plcc programmer, chart recorders, electrostactic meters, use of personal computer to perform automated testing of equipment, soldering iron, hand crimp tools.
Must be proficient in the use and calibration the tracability of instruments of measurement. Must be capable of reading and interpreting blue prints and work instructions
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows.

ducation Requirements
Associates Degree / or Advanced Technical education in electronics technology or electro- mechanical is required

- Hi-Pot (High Potential) / High Voltage Testing
